The training acquaints the participants with the basic use of the application which supports cost estimation, starting with basic steps describing the program interface through costing item insertion and modification and ending with preparing the cost estimate to be printed.
The basic course covers the essential topics needed for independent cost estimation, including:
- The methods of inserting costing items, the form and construction of normative catalogs available on market,
- Adding and correcting LME (Labor, Material and Equipment) normatives by changing their consumption,
- Installing pricing databases and changing prices,
- Defining surcharges at the level of cost estimate and its elements (sections),
- Discussing recent legislations which influence work valuation,
- Adjusting the range and methods of printing to applicable law,
- Defining Common Procurement Vocabulary (CPV) codes and specification number - having a major impact on the cost estimate layout in public procurement,
- Building non-catalog itims,
- Searching the sources of the valuation of work not included in the Estimating Catalog.
Why is it worth participating in our trainings?
- We offer the essential construction-oriented knowledge,
- Each participant receives a training script with many drawings which help to understand performed actions,
- Each participant is familiarized with the rules of electronic cost estimation as well as law provisions governing cost estimation,
- We teach how to prepare professional cost estimates, which are an essential condition for achieving success in tenders,
- Several separate exercises will ease the understanding how a cost estimation application works,
- Our trainers have the knowledge of how to use the program, but they also turn that knowledge into practice in their everyday work as cost estimators,
The training is delivered in the form of computer workshops combined with practical exercises and lectures in law, realized as practical tasks performed during the training.
Training materials are given to the participants in the form of:
- Script - adapted to the subject of the training,
- Practical exercises on cost estimation with Norma program,
- „Exercises on cost estimation”.
After the training, the participants are entitled to contact the lecturer for any costing advice. The contact with the trainer is free of charge - up to 12 months after the training ends.
